Short answer
Turkish citizenship by investment is granted to a foreign national who makes an investment meeting the conditions set out in the Turkish Citizenship Law and the related regulations. The investment can be made through the purchase of real estate, a fixed capital investment, the creation of jobs for at least 50 people, a bank deposit, government debt instruments or fund participation shares. Once the investment is approved, a certificate of eligibility and a residence permit are obtained, and an application is then made to the Directorate General of Population and Citizenship Affairs (Nüfus ve Vatandaşlık İşleri Genel Müdürlüğü). The process is usually completed within 3 to 6 months.
